The SmartPilot X-5 Wheelpilot is the ideal autopilot solution for small to medium sized sailboats with below deck steering systems. Equipped with the SPX-5 course computer, this rugged wheel pilot system features Raymarine's Advanced Steering Technology (AST). The SPX-5's integral rate gyro sensor and AST offers superior performance by enabling the SPX-5 to "AutoLearn" the vessel's steering characteristics for razor-sharp course keeping and simplified calibration.

The innovative SPX-5 Wheelpilot is equipped with a fully enclosed wheel-drive for simple installation and below deck autopilot performance. With everything you need for easy installation, it offers a quick and easy set up. The p70 control head and patented fluxgate compass are mounted separately for easy access and optimum performance. The p70 shows pilot status and repeats navigation data from other system transducers. It is also equipped with the latest SeaTalk^ng networking which enables it to communicate with other Raymarine instruments and multifunction displays.

The SPX-5 Wheelpilot system is designed for yachts with a laden displacement of up to 16,500lbs. The bundled system comes complete with the p70 Control Head. For legacy systems, the SPX-5 Wheelpilot corepack without control head may be purchased separately.

Items that can fit in a flat rate envelope are shipped via flat rate service.
